Design Possibilities
The nature of pavers lend themselves to ornate patterns, and color variations that can blend in or brilliantly contrast surrounding elements.

Concrete Pavers can be used to delineate pavement areas, such as parking lanes, cross walks, intersections or seating areas.

The inherent beauty of pavers creates value and visual interest to all types of real estate. The flexibility pavers afford are just not possible with poured in place pavement systems.

Many Shapes and Colors
Western Turf and Hardscapes carries complete lines from 3 manufacturers. This allows for a robust product offering to match any surrounding aesthetics or meet your specification's.

Initial Paver Installation Cost
Cost savings can be achieved for small and simple projects by a home owner installing the pavement themselves with the aid of a good DIY installation video. The manufacturer sites typically have great resources as we do to.

Generally, concrete pavers are price competitive with poured in place concrete. When considering ease of sub-grade access, maintenance, life cycle and replacement costs, pavers offer a distinct advantage and cost savings to other pavements.

Also pavers can be put into service immediately after the installer has vibrated interlocking them together. This means no 3 day wait to enjoy laying out the patio furniture or driving into your garage.

Paver Strength
By nature pavers are manufactured to tight dimensional tolerances, in a controlled environment resulting in a stronger highly resilient material. Regular poured concrete surfaces and black asphalt cannot make those claims. Pavers can take the abuse and last for generations. Interlocking segmental paving systems allow for expansion and contraction thus relieving the stress that creates surface cracks, unlike monolithic surfaces materials.

Concrete pavers are made extremely dense as a result of the manufacturing process which creates exceptional strength and durability. This density is superior under severe loading, and are unaffected by the extremes of heat and frost.

Factory cast pavers last for decades.

Easy to Remove
Forget to add a sprinkler line, yard design change or need to repair a street sewer line? Just remove and reinstate the same pavers with no tell tale signs of a patch. No demolition equipment or dump fee's to haul off the debris. This is especially beneficial when considering the impacts of asphalt's composition.

Our monolithic poured in place counterparts will always telegraph the patch and require much much more equipment and labor. Pavers are low-maintenance and pay dividends with their flexibility, inert nature and low life-cycle cost.

Maintenance
Pavers are easy to maintain. If you can run a broom and a garden hose then you are a pro. For heavy soiling,Ê pressure washing with appropriate cleaning solution (re-sanding of joints will be necessary) or a simple brushing with a spot treatment will solve the problem. Sealing the pavers is also a good idea to add to the lasting beauty of the installation.

Weather and Snow Removal
Pavers are installed in any climate. Snow can be plowed, blown or shoveled just like asphalt or concrete pavements. Remember the installer vibrated the paver surfaces flush to each other and the edges are chamfered. This means the pavers will not impede the removal of snow and ice as the overall surface is flush and free from catching an edge.

Under paver electric or liquid snow-melting systems can also be implemented to enhance snow removal while reducing slip hazards. Pavers that are darker in color can also use solar energy to naturally heat the surface augmenting snow melt and water vaporization.

The density of Concrete pavers (8,000 PSI) resists deterioration from freeze/thaw cycles and snow melt systems. Using snow melt salt or calcium chloride will not harm or pit the pavers. This trumps the performance of asphalt and ordinary poured in place concrete.

Durability
Interlocking concrete pavers are a flexible system and allow for movement, they are almost indestructible, the pavement system moves in unison with the earths usual tendency to swell and contract over the long term thus avoiding any serious damage.
